I have been practicing
Pilates for over 9 months. With Sonia's guidance, I have greatly improved my
posture, muscle tone and overall body strength. I am particularly impressed
with the change in my shoulders. They used to be very rounded, and now I am
much more open-chested. I also love the way I can use my breath to support
my body when I need additional strength, like when carrying heavy groceries
from the car. The greatest result is knowing and feeling that my body is
strong and supported.
Sonia is an outstanding instructor. She always encourages me to work to my
greatest potential, but never pushes me beyond what is safe for my body. I
had back surgery a few years ago. Sonia is very careful in what she has
taught me. She "tailor-made" my routine to meet my individual needs. She has
had a lot of experience working with people with injuries and pain. I know I
can trust that I won't get injured in working with her and that's the most
important thing to me.
I used to think Pilates was just for dancers. I'm so glad I tried it for
myself!
